Havent wrote about myself before, so feel a bit awkward describing myself in my own words, and whatever I write, I am sure I am bound to forget something, but hey, I guess I have to start somewhere so here goes….. (I suppose if I forget to mention something important, you can always ask, and I promise to reply back to you very soon!)
My name is Mohammad Imran, I am 22 years old. People tell me I have a very open nature, and I display my emotions very openly; I wear my heart on my sleeves. I am an introvert kind of person, but I also love a good laugh. I don’t shy from showing my emotions, I am very mature for my age and I believe it is the right time for me to settle down, and turn a new page in my life.
I believe a soul-mate, a pair is made for everyone, somewhere, its just a matter of looking at the right place, at the right time. To quote a famous film dialogue, ‘'Kehte hai agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaaho tau puuri qai’naat tumhe usse milaane ki koshish mein lag jaati hai'’ – So there you go, yes, I do watch movies from time to time (only at home), but apart from that, I try my best to live within the confines of shariaah, and the sunnah’s of the beloved prophet (Sallalahu Alaih’e Wa’sallam). I pray five times (although some of them qaza if I don’t get chance to pray at work), I fast religiously and have also performed Hajj few years back. I attend weekend evening ijtema’s in the mosque whenever I can, and try to learn as much more about our beautiful religion as I can, gain naseehat and try to find ways of tauba. As it is mentioned in Surah At-Tahreem 66:8 – “O believers! Turn to Allah with sincere repentance: In the hope that your Lord will remove from you your ills and admit you to Gardens beneath which Rivers flow, - the Day that Allah will not permit to be humiliated the Prophet and those who believe with him. ”
I live with my uncle’s family, and work at a Post Office. I did graduation in commerce and I used to run my own business in India before coming to UK and coming from a family of merchants, I think business is in my blood, although I appreciate the need of education and knowledge, and hence if time and circumstances permit, I wish to gain some more education in order to further my career prospects. I love kids and enjoy spending time with my nephews and nieces. I respect my elders, and enjoy hearing the tales of the past from my grandmother. Being the eldest son of the family, I have always been brought up by being taught the values of responsibility and maturity.
My pastimes involve spending time with family and friends, eating out, watching television, and playing football or cricket sometimes, and oh yeah, surfing the web. I don’t go clubbing, I don’t smoke or drink (my parents told me it’s a bad thing…lol!)
Although initial family involvement is your choice, I think it’s only wise to seek their advice and direction as soon as you feel the time is right.
Well, I guess since you have come so far through in my profile, you would be interested to know about my family too……so here goes,
A very, loving, caring and respectable family, they are traditional in values and hold moderate values in religion. We are an Urdu/Hindi speaking Shaikh family. My parents are in India. My father runs a business of International Cargo as well as property investment, my mother is a housewife, and spends her time in making sure we don’t do anything of which ‘people will talk about’ lol!. Both my parents strived to gave us all, the best possible knowledge (Islamic and wordly). It is important that my partner should get on well with my family (there’s much to like… they are very understanding and caring). My uncle’s are in UK and we have extended families in Canada and Australia.
My elder sister is getting married in October InshaAllah, next in line is me. My younger brother works with me at the Post Office. We are very close, and we all enjoy a laugh...
I use a popular networking site ‘face’ with profile name ‘mdim imran’. Let’s see if you can find me. Lol!
